- Assembles, tests and debugs RF instrumentation
- Reads and follows technical assembly documentation, including flowcharts
- Uses assembly drawings to fabricate electronic assemblies, subassemblies, products or systems including PC boards to IPC 610 Class III workmanship standards
- Uses Vector Network Analyzer and Digital Oscilloscope to measure product characteristics
- Trouble shoots assembly problems
- Inspects and prepares parts prior to assembly
- Performs assembly rework as required
- Conducts manufacturing inspections of completed assemblies for special projects
- Inventories parts and materials and communicates inventory to supervisor
- Cleans and maintains work area per policies and housekeeping rules
- Assists in assembly problem resolution for special projects
- Assists and/or trains other assemblers as needed
- Provides suggestions and solutions to assembly problems and quality improvements for special projects
- Good attention to detail focusing on minimizing defects
- Communicates product and documentation improvement recommendations
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Maintains quality output while meeting product line production requirements
- Performs any task or duty required or directed by line supervisors, the Manufacturing Engineer, the Operations Vice President, or Senior Management
Required Skills:
- Must be able to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Proficient in use of Vector Network Analyzer and Digital Oscilloscope
- Basic knowledge of RF test and measurement systems
- Supports engineering activities (test, design, fabrication and assembly)
- Reading comprehension skills to understand work orders and written instructions in English
- Able to write clearly and concisely in English
- Able to clearly interpret CAD drawings, flowcharts, schematics, and assembly procedures
- Verbal communication skills in English to exchange information with co-workers and supervisor
- Able to effectively communicate production issues with others in the organization
- Interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others
- Proficient math skills to perform basic calculations
- Good attention to detail
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Experienced hand solder
- Proficient with hand tools
- Ability to trouble shoot and repair
Education, Experience, Citizenship and Other Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma with technical training (Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or trade school preferred) – electronics, computer science, IT, network technologies or a related field
- Applicant must be a US Citizen
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Satisfactory background check
- Minimum 5 years as RF Technician with electromechanical assembly experience –
